HDVI Features & Benefits:
-
Computed tomography or ‘CT’ is becoming commonplace in avian and exotic animal medicine. While based in radiology, CT machinery and interpretation is more complex than compared with radiographs. This lab will cover CT basics including currently available technology. Additionally, participants will be guided as to how to use digital CT data sets in free viewing software. Emphasis will be given on proper case setup, viewing and basic anatomy such that participants can begin to view and evaluate CT data sets. This in-person lab will include amphibian, avian, exotics mall mammal and reptile cases.
-
Dr. Echols will show you how to slice and maneuver through ultra-high-definition and volumetric Vimago™ images in both 2D and 3D. This is an excellent skill set for any doctor or technician for diagnostic, interventional, and intra-operative services offered to the pet owner to help them make a more informed decision on the next step in their pet's medical journey. The marketing capabilities these images hold are tremendous and offer immense value to the clinic in both effective patient communication and advertising.
